Santa Clara University.

Santa Clara University, a Jesuit university, offers its more than 8,000 students rigorous undergraduate curricula in arts and sciences, business (Leavey School of Business), and engineering, plus master's, Ph.D., and law degrees. Distinguished nationally by the fourth-highest graduation rate among all U.S. master's universities.

The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) was envisioned to lead the extension of Santa Clara University’s into the study and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Center's mission takes shape in three critical areas:

  • Connect: Strengthening community ties by cultivating an opportunity-focused Venture Information Network,
  • Educate: Developing the entrepreneurial competence of students by offering an interdisciplinary Entrepreneur Leadership Program.
  • Launch: Enabling the launch of new ventures by providing a Venture Accelerator Program.

By fostering an environment where innovation and entrepreneurship flourish, Santa Clara produces graduates with a greater understanding and control of the forces that drive the Silicon Valley, national and global economies.

  • Coming: interview with Paul Locatelli, S.J., President of Santa Clara University.
